Hmm, in a few days time I'll be hitting twenty. Some people tend to think of twenty as a changing point in your life. A sort of point when you become an 'adult' and when you're expected to always give in to your brothers (cause you're more 'mature') listen to your parents (cause you're expected to have enough sense to do that by now) and always perpetually drive (mum and dad's reward for getting you through Driving School.
Anyways, I think being 20 is more profound than most people think. I know many friends who didn't make it to twenty. But anyways, I reckon is a good good place to look back at your life and see what you've done with it. The struggles and the loves and the losts and school life and all.
I think its amazing reaching 20 just as I am. That I didn't become a wannabe fan of some actor/football player and neither do I wish to be someone else (like I mostly did when I was in my early teenhood). After 20 years, I just want to be myself. I'm happy.
And speaking of being happy, it involves all of you. Family, Churchmates, CUCMS-ians, Lunchmates, Cell Groupmates, and everyone I know. You guys got me here, even the enemies made me what I am today.
So, this 20 years are a toast to you. That you've all been amazing people and I truly, deeply happy that I have you all in my life. You, are God's twentieth birthday gift to me :)
