Hey, From Chiang Mai Mates!!!
It's been GREAT!!! Lol, to think I was just hanging out in Kl at the Curve just a few days ago watching fireworks, and now I'm like 2000 miles away in Thailand, smack in a middle of a coup!! Never Mind, not to worry, coup's over and its totally safe right now, and I'm doing great!! Anyways, I'm at the start of a 30 day journey which is life changing and soul nourishing for me.. I've left everything behind to answer the Lord's call to serve Him in a foriegn land.. Anyways, I woke Up this morning at 5 something ( so early!! ) to leave, and flight was at 8.50 and was so so tiring.. But I was greeted by warm smiles and handshakes from the Rob Reagan, Thais and newfound Buddy Marvin.. How I wish I could learn their names quicker, but they all sound the same *smacks head*.. Haiz, gotta learn quick though.. And then, we all went to Lunch at Airport Mall, which is incidentally where The Interns watch movies in their free time.. Wow, the group here is really really fun, they told me this joke about how to order Chicken Rice from a deaf man which left me half deaf!! Hahaha, Marv's the best of the lot ( mostly because he speaks the most English ).. He was teaching me loads on the Thai language and it was all confusing and all, but I'll learn eh?? Gotta get through it no matter what mate.. Funny though, because the same word, if pronounced differently, can either mean Chicken or Can I please Fart!!! Lol, gotta watch my tounge.. Anyways, had a great day today, after Lunch Rob briefed me about life over here and als do's and don'ts.. And then we sat down ( Me, Marv and Rob ) and planned out the activites for Jan... By the looks of it, its gonna be tiring but super fun.. Then after that Marv gave me a lesson in proper table tennis.. After some football, dinner, a quick shower, we headed to watch a movie at Nui's and Un's place (two of the students here) to watch GOAL!! Ok, gotta sleep soon, because Abby is coming tommorow and there's a prank waiting to be pulled off.. Nites!!
