New Year's List Of Things To Do

New Year is around the corner. And to be frank, I haven't been updating my blog because my life (as most people know) is super boring. I wonder how other people's lives have a steady inflow of exciting stuff *Naveen gives his sneer of jelousy*. Anyways, I really should stop complaining and make the most out of my life huh? So here is the list of (I really like doing this huh?) 10 Things I Really Must Do Next Year.......

1. According to Junny, Form 5 is tougher than Rhino's Hide, so a lot of study is in order to survive (thanks for your notes, so sweet of you)

2. Must be more active in the Church (as Responsible George is Leaving for Taylor's next year, the workload has really increased)

3. Must plan more inter-congregational youth activities involving us and the youths of other CoCs, (namely PJ and K.L/ Wangsa Waju). *Aiya, Headache Already*

4. Must stop being an Ameboa (a must do).

5. Be A Better Listener, Not a Better Talker.

6. Watch the World Cup (who cares about SPM when the World Cup is around?)

7. Driving Lessons (wheeee So exciting, getta drive my Dad's Civic at last!!!!)

8. Be More Diciplined, Deadline orientated and Take 'Kerja Kursus' and 'Homework' really seriously..

9. Stop disturbing Girls when they study, namely Qiao Bin, Sui Yin, Diana, and Mich (I just can't take it when other ppl are more 'rajin' than me)

10. Can't think Of Anymore Addy.....

A Year Gone Past......

2005. What happened to it? I was like some sort of magic trick really, now you see, now you don't. Well, eventhough the year passed by like a Ferrari on rocket Fuel, there were still some lessons learnt, experiences undergone, fears confronted, and dreams/goals realized. Ten things I've learn't

1. I don't have to conform to other people.
2. I have feelings, desires, likes, and dislikes and I don't have to hide them just because someone will put me down because I have them.
3. My happiness doesn't come from being accepted by other people.
4. Love is Beautiful.
5. Trust is A Dangerous thing if put in wrong people.
6. Girls are a guy's best friend.(very true)
7. I like Chinese songs.
8. The Best Place to be is Church! (I wish everyday was a Sunday)
9. You can trust Your Church mates.
10. Junny has a very cute blog. (She's cute tooo)

Happy New Year

Have You Seen God Lately? That was a question the preacher at the Wangsa Maju CoC asked me in his (most excellent by the way) sermon today. Hmm.... Dosen't seem like I've ever given it much thought before this. But, let me start from the beginning. Christmas this year, I decided to take a quick trip to Wangsa Maju to fufill my obligation to the Lord by attending service at Wangsa Maju. It was an experience which I'll fondly look back on over the years with a deep smile on my face. Anyways, I was late (as I always am) so I only got in after almost all the hyyms had been sung (bummer huh?) . But something told me this day was gonna be special. See, after Lord's Supper, I noticed an old man sitting quietly in the chair by the wall. Well, it was really Brother Kim Fatt, who I incidentally haven't seen for almost a year now. I quietly thoght to myself whether he would still remember my name (or the time I bumped him too hard during Basketball). Well, I would know after the sermon ends. The Sermon today was about 'The Greatest Story Ever Told' delivered by Brother Ravi (a man I've come to respect very much). Well, he challenged each and every one of us to be 'Limb Climbers' instead of 'Branch Sitters'. In a nutshell actually, he challanged us to do out part for the Lord so that the Lord's Church would continue to keep on growing. He also mentioned that the idea for the Wangsa Maju CoC actually came from a 12 year old girl in Penang. The Idea didn't come to the smartest, wealthiest, most popular, or most powerfull person in the Church. Indeed (regrettfully) I would have laughed my head off if someone told me that the Idea came from a 12 year old. Well, that really hit home for me. I'm now resolved (Lord Willing) to do everything in my power to spread the Word and to make sure that Seremban CoC grows in faith and numbers as well. After the service, there was a wonderful drama preformed (most excellently) by the Chlidren's Class (really reminded me of my days doing that). Many meetings took place after that. I was fortunate enough to meet up with 'Ol Kim Fatt (he did remember me after all), the always excellent Jun Ai, caught up a bit with Cassandra also (shocked her a bit by suddenly appearing in the seat beside her) and also have a short chat with many a member of the PJ CoC. My mum met a friend she hadn't met in 20 years (can you believe that?). Unfortunately though, I didn't get a chance to thank Bro Ravi for his Sermon and congratulate Sis Irene on a super job well done (could you do that for me Junny? Thanks) . Why am I giving you a blow by blow account on what happened? After deep thought, I saw the Beauty of God in the Church. Looking at the unity of the Christians in the Church and remembering the wonderful bond which all of us share, really touched my heart as a Christian. The love we share, the faith we all live in and the hope we all hold on to. Thats the beauty of being a Christian. So, have i seen God lately? An Abosolute Positive YES!

Wowzers, Jun Ning you continue to impress me day by day. What make me say that? Well, I was kinda bored on the internet so I decided to take a peek at Junny's achive of posts on her Super Blog. Anyways, after picking a date on the achive (using pinky....pinky....ponky method lah, what else?), I happened to stumble across this poem written by this adorable little girl for her sis, Jun Ai. Here goes:

a baby girl was born,
in a little clinic,
1st september they said,
a day after merdeka,

was born to a loving family,
name the chong's,
was a lovable sister and child,
such a diamond and crystal she was,

soon enough she became older,
how she gave her love,
like her name in every way,
couldn't be explained in words.

she is an excellent pupil,
and excels in sports,
running like a cheetah,
paid off as she won many medals,

she is a sleeping pig by daytime,
and an owl out for a search by night,
she is a hardworking girl with a good attitude,
she is a bookworn full of books too,

she studies hard to score good marks,
and her radio is her partner in crime,
with weird studyign times,
she is and always a lovable and caring sister and friend,

she will be the first to be there,
when you need a helping hanf,
just say 'Ai;
and she will be t ur doorstep in a flash.

Wowzers to that I say and a big hand for Chong Jun Ning *clap, clap, clap*. I would kill to have a sister like that. Junny, do you accept trade ins? Just grab my bro and get her over here.

I'm surrounded by hordes of family members for this Christmas. Some people might think this is what Christmas is actually all about, the gathering of half the family around a stuffed, roasted turkey, saying grace and carving the pitiful beast open with a knife (so much for animal rights huh?). Unfortunately for grumpy ol' me, I'm always the loner when it come to socializing with family members. Why? Well, I normally get along just fine with the adults and the cousins my age, most probably because they actually have something interesting to talk about. But, for me the big problem is the throng of five to eight year olds in the family. I've always been the one to admire (only admire because I lack the capacity to do so) good organisation and sistematic order. But when a full blown war of kejar-kejar and aksi gusti terhebat ensures around my ankles *ouch*, nerves of steel (preferably a titanium alloy) are needed to resist the temptation to grab one of those fellas and lock him in a wardrobe (he might even find Narnia in there). A quiet Christmas surrounded with Church members, friends and family(everyone above 12 that is..) is exactly what I need this Christmas.*sigh* Well, you can't win them all huh (although this is one battle I'm longing to win)? So I suppose I'll just have to make the best of what I can huh? Anyways, MERRY CHRISTMAS Everyone....

Junny, you and I have the same problem now :)
Wow, its amazing coincidence (or just cruel fate) that my FAVOURITE pair of Sneakers we're taken for a walk. Not by me mind you, but some unfortunate fella who is gonna get pounded into a heap of flesh, blood and bones the moment I find him ( or just forgive him, very Christianlike eh? ). Anyway, contrary to popular belief, this robbery neither happened in my house and neither was the main gate left unlocked that night. It happened in my cuzzie's house and that pencuri fella must have climbed over the gate to grab my beautiful shoes. He must have been some kinda professional thief who made a living out of stealing some unfortunate fella's shoes, because he probably did it while half the the family awake watching the Manchester United vs Benfica Champions League match. I personally think he would have made his move when Scholes scored (we must have even woke up the poor neighbours with our celebrations). Anyway, it looks like sandals for Church this week (OmiGosh, I'm serving!). Anyway, hopefully I'll take a leaf out of Jun Ai's book and pray for that poor fella. Strike One of unfortunate events ( I wonder how long It will be until I break my glasses :)

Booo Hooo....Rainwalked.......

Well, since you guys must be scratching your heads while wondering what on earth rain Walking is, I'll clear it up for you. *Naveen Consults his personal Dictonary* OK, here it is, Rainwalking (in my dictonary) means that a person walked in the rain to his/her respective destination. Isn't such an enjoyable experience don't you think. If you still disagree, take my word for it. ITS HORRIBLE. How did i get in such a stupid situation you ask. Well, t all started when my mum forgot to pick me up from tuition. The best part was that she forgot to take her handphone with her. So after, 1/2 an hour of useless dialling, I remembered that she told me that she was going to her friends house. Since it wasn't far away, and the rain wasn't that bad, I decided to walk over. So,, to cut a long (and terrible) experience short, I was soaking wet by the time I reached the house. Alas, my misfortune continued. My mum, left the place a short while ago. So, soaking wet, i dripped al over her friend's house utill he came. Not a bad day huh?
